Jan was absolutely incredible in taking pictures at my wedding. We are an older couple and I was very concerned about how I would look in pictures. Jan did an amazing job and the pictures are so beautiful. Better than I could have ever imagined. Jan captured the entire feel for the wedding and the people in attendance though the pictures. The pictures show such sensitivity with great color from flowers in the garden, the venue and the people. I didn't have the chance to meet Jonlaya before my wedding day, but she was communicative and incredibly helpful when working out details over email. Jonlaya was the best decision! I just received our wedding photos back and they are incredible. She had such an attention to detail and got shots of all those painstaking details that took months for me to create. She captured the atmosphere and we felt like we relived the wedding at all angles viewing our pictures. During the ceremony and reception I hardly saw her but she was busy getting all the shots! I never once felt like she was in my space taking photos of me...I hardly saw her. During posed photos, she was so sweet and easy to work with. I'm awkward having my photos taken and she made me feel at ease. She was early to the agreed time so she could get detail shots of venue. We really liked Jonlaya's style of shooting. She captured our wedding second by second and minute by minute not missing a shot. She stays out of view but gets the best shots. Choosing Jonlaya (Jan) from LUEM Photography as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. I knew after the first email correspondence with her that it was a great fit.
We decided to do an engagement shoot as a "trial run" and the experience and the photos were amazing.
We kept in touch leading up to the wedding day because the ceremony was outside and rain was on the way. We had a back up plan in motion, but we all were fine with a little wedding in the rain!
The ceremony was delayed an hour, so Jan decided to do group photos of the guests who were waiting and everyone loved the photos!
My favorite part about the day was that you didn't even know there was a photographer. Jan blended in like one of the guests and just so happened to take amazing photos along the way.
Since receiving the finished photos and sharing them with my family, I am getting non stop compliments about the photographer and the photos. (I think all of my Facebook friends now have a LUEM Photography photo as their profile picture! Even a few of them have updated their LinkedIn pictures as well, lol)
