Including the fur baby(ies) is always a good idea...
A few years ago, I was asked to photograph the intimate wedding of Vanessa and John- back then the kids were a lot younger, and to my knowledge there was no dog. :)
Since then, I've had the pleasure of photographing the family at there vacation home/rental in West Virginia a few times, and this last go around I was asked to do family portraits near their home in Virginia.
It was a cold morning, but there was still plenty of vibrant color provided by the surrounding trees.
A tip for those thinking of taking family photos with the family dog (or other pets), is to try and get those done first.
If not first, then have the fur baby(ies) come out to meet the photographer, and get some energy out, prior to photos.
