FAQs

How do you photograph weddings?

On your wedding day, I take a documentary and candid approach to capturing your wedding; offering guidance and posing help when needed. Continuous coverage, from first kiss to last dance.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and am always up for a road trip should the occasion arise*, whether it be mountain side, or a venue that is near and dear to your hearts.

*60 miles of travel is included with each investment package. Additional travel fees will apply, should the wedding or reception venue be more than 60 miles one way.

What are your rates?

8 hour wedding day coverage is $3,400 with additional hours for just $250. Engagement sessions are $400 and large albums start at $800.

*Payment plans are available upon request.

How many hours should we book?

Most weddings that I shoot are 8-9 hours long. That includes getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, portraits and the reception. I’m more than happy to help you write-out a timeline for the whole day so you know what to expect!

When should we book?

Most couples book 6-8 months in advance, and up to 24 months in advance for the more popular months: May, June, September and October.

How do we book?

A deposit of 30% of the total investment is required to reserve your date and the final balance is due 7 days prior to your wedding day. You can pay by credit card via an online invoice.

How long will it take to receive our images after the wedding?

Wedding galleries are usually delivered between 4-6 weeks, and 6-8 during the busiest times of the wedding season.

How do we receive our photos?

They’ll be uploaded in high-res as well as web size for you to download from a beautiful online gallery. You can share the gallery with friends and family, and order prints directly from your gallery.

Do we get printing and sharing rights?

All my couples receive a print release with their photos. You'll have the rights to print your photos anywhere, anytime. You are also able to share the photos online or with friends and family for no extra charge.

Can I add a second photographer?

A second photographer is a good consideration for weddings with 150+ guests, and/or when the ceremony and reception venues are quite a distance from one another.

A second photographer provides double the coverage.
