I was fortunate to be chosen to document Kevin and Maylin's engagement at The Virginia Arboretum located in Boyce, VA. which can be seen here: Kevin + Maylin.
Our time together helped me to understand how they are as a couple, and for them to understand me as a photographer, my style, and how I direct, without being overly intrusive. The comfort level rises, and on the day of the wedding there is already a feeling of familiarity.
There was a chance of rain, this particular day, but we were so thankful for the rain holding off until after the ceremony- it was just meant to be. :)
The vibes I got were intimacy + intentionality, and the energy coming from the guests was fantastic, and just made for an even more fun dance floor experience.
My most favorite moment of their wedding day came when double rainbows appeared in the sky, pulling everyone inside the reception up from their seats to the outdoors to get a look for themselves.
Kevin and Maylin, it was an absolute pleasure documenting your day- thank you so much for everything.
